What you'll learn
MX ROAD is a practical highway and road design course designed for civil engineering students, diploma holders, surveyors, highway professionals and CAD designers who want to develop skills in digital road design and infrastructure modeling.
The course covers the complete road design workflow, including survey data processing, terrain modeling, Digital Terrain Models (DTM), horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, road cross-sections, superelevation, corridor modeling, earthwork calculations, drainage concepts, junction design and plan/profile documentation.
Learners will work with existing ground information and develop proposed road designs while understanding chainage, levels, gradients, curves, formation, cut-and-fill quantities and cross-sectional information.
Practical highway and road design projects are included to help learners develop professional skills in road planning, modeling, analysis and documentation.
